Letters from our Customers and Other Dual Peppy/Playin In Style Owners

re:  Dual Peppy daughter

June 27, 2005

  Dear Sherri:

I just wanted to thank you for everything you did to help make our purchase of “Peppy” a great experience.  I have never purchased a horse from out-of-state, sight unseen before, and I did have some concerns.  However, you made the entire process easy and straight-forward, especially when it came to the little things that were necessary before she could be shipped to California.
I have to tell you how pleasantly surprised we were when she got out of the van.  Although it was 3:00 a.m., we could all see what a nice, elegant little lady she is.  Later that morning, it was clear that she definitely has a lot more class and style than the average horse.  When she runs in the arena or is being worked in the roundpen, it is evident that she is quite athletic with a lot of presence and natural balance. We have seen her stop on a dime, spin on her rear end and take off in the other direction.  She also has a lot of speed and quick moves. When she prances down the rail in the arena, it’s as if she is saying “look at me.”  She also has a lot of confidence when she plays in the arena.  New things do not seem to bother her.  She went over a couple of the jumps as if she has done it all her life.  One time, she walked up to several large blue barrels, knocked all of them over and then rolled them around the arena.  When she is finished playing and running, she stops, walks up to me, nods her head a few times to let me know she has had enough.
In addition to her natural athletic talent, I love her temperament.  She is exceptionally smart, always figuring things out and then applying it to what is being asked of her.  She also has an incredible memory.  We are constantly aware of how we approach and handle Peppy because she remembers everything, the good as well as the scary.  We focus on the positive when introducing her to new things and reward her when she does well.  She gets along with everyone, whether it’s an older mare, one of the geldings or one of the younger horses.

Peppy loves people and the attention she gets from everyone. She is so curious and interested in everything.  She is like a puppy dog that follows us around waiting to play, and is contented to sit and enjoy a special moment.  (She loves to be scratched!)   Besides Peppy’s natural abilities and her wonderful mind, she has the biggest, softest brown eyes of any horse.  She actually looks into your eyes and you can see the kindness inside.  She is so sweet and affectionate, it is truly a joy to work with her and teach her new things.

Whether Peppy ends up in the reining arena or cutting cattle, I have no doubt she will excel at either.  She has the physical ability as well as the mental capacity to do both with style and class.

Thank you again for everything.
Sincerely,
            Eileen Kane

re: Playin N Cash (Playin In Style son)

July 14, 2005

Here is a picture of his Dam at the world show in 2000. He sure has a lot of heart because he almost didn't make it. The first three days of his life were spent at MSU Vet school. He is the best looking of all the foals out of my mare. I'm fortunate to have such a nice mare and when you breed to really nice stallions, like Playin N Style he just has to be a winner. And I appreciate you helping me with him and I look forward to being a small part of your program. But most of all I look forward to riding him.
Thanks
Felix Rutledge

Update 2007:

I have a tape of my colt--- I want you to see.  He is doing great and I want to spend all my time on him.  I kid you not he is the best horse I have ever ridden. Just the best minded colt.
Felix

Thank you for the opportunity to purchase this guy. I really appreciate it and you can rest assured he will have a good home and be loved.  I'll keep you up to date on how he's doing.  Thank you for being so wonderful about all of the paperwork, taking the colt over to Tawnya's and making this such an easy purchase for us.  I really appreciate it.

To Whom It may concern,
I recently came upon your website for Dual Peppy.  I own a son of this horse, "Duallin N Diamonds" a 2000 gelding, purchased him in February of 2005.  Since then I have showed him in Amateur working cowhorse, and in the AQHA Ranch Horse Versatilities.

In 2005, he earned his ROM in Working Cowhorse and Ranch Horse Versatility and qualified for the Amateur WC for the 2005 World show.  He ended the year 3rd in the nation for RHV.  I also won the Open Limited Rider with the AQHA in that event.

This year, he is currently 2nd in the nation in RHV in both the open and the Amateur and is leading the OPen and Amateur Limited Rider programs in that event.

I won over $10,000 on him in RHV and Incentive fund money in 2005.

In 2006 he was 2nd at the Denver Stock Show and the San Antonio Stock show and was first at the Cow Palace in San Francisco.

I have really enjoyed my Dual Peppy gelding.  My daughter will use him next year in the Novice and Non-Pro cuttings, and I know she'll enjoy him also.

Thanks,
Betty Lou Valdez | La Junta, CO

Sherry,
I wanted to let you know what Duallin N Diamonds has been up to lately, and what we have managed to accomplish in the last few months. He received his AQHA Superior in Ranch Horse Versatility in October (50 points).  He is only the 3rd horse to ever earn a superior in this event.

In addition, I took him to Clarksville, Arkansas (2 shows); Belton, Texas; and Sarasota, Florida, where he won both the Open and Amateur Versatility classes at all 4 shows.

For the year, he will win three high point awards in the AQHA:  High Point Limited Open RHV, Open Limited RHV, and the High Point Amateur RHV.

This is the first year that the AQHA has given the Amateur Award, so it makes it very special to me, since I am a woman competing in a sport that is primarily dominated by men.

In the RMQHA, he also won the Novice RHV, the Amateur RHV, and the Open RHV.

Again, I can't tell you how much I've enjoyed this little horse.  He is going to have a long break, and then in June of 2007, I'll begin to qualify him for the Select Amateur world for 2008 (in Amateur Working Cowhorse.)  He has plenty of jobs lined up for him around our place;  My 8 year old daughter will probably use him for her first year of 4-H and my husband would like to rope on him, but no matter what, we feel that he has paid his dues.

Sincerely,
Betty Lou and Robert Valdez

Dear Sherri,

Just wanted to write and let we know how thankful and what a wonderful opportunity you gave us when you sold us Peppys Dual CD Olena.  His birthday is tomorrow and he will be 2 years old.  He has been the easiest and most fun colt to handle and have around.  He started light training 2 weeks ago and the trainer got on and rode off with never a thought of a buck or a scoot.  He is just fabulous and will add some excellent blood and black color to the breeders in MI.  I bought him a nice bridle the other day that will show off his beautiful head.  It was fun trying to pick something which has a little bit of silver but not alot which would be overbearing.  I know I sound conceited about this colt but we just love him to death!
Thanks again for the wonderful opportunity to bring such a nice stud colt to Michigan.
